So far it had been pretty good finding powdered milk while camping and bike touring in Europe. As you know, on a bike you can’t easily have a refrigerator. Some of us like milk in our coffee and tea.
I am happy to report it hasn’t been an issue finding powdered milk in Norway, Netherlands and France. Skim milk is typically what you find in North American supermarket stores with the whole powdered kind in a natural food grocery store catering to special needs diet like vegetarian, gluten intolerant, etc. But in Europe you can easily find whole powdered milk in any supermarket.
It strikes me as somewhat odd not to find whole powdered milk in North America stores as powdered milk is sometimes an ingredient for a baking recipe. But truthfully the first time I encountered such an ingredient was in a baking course offered at a culinary school.
